Tea Time

Although wedding photography is not one of the core services that I offer, I was recently invited to photograph a Vietnamese tea ceremony prior to the wedding of Vanessa and Ashley. A wonderful and colourful experience. It was very hard work with so much action going on, and trying to capture everything without getting in the way was an exciting challenge. I managed to get some great images of the day and it further deepened my respect for all those wedding photographers  out there.

First Impressions.

OK be honest now, does the profile picture that you use on LinkedIn and other social media sites really give the right first impression of you? Remember this will be the first thing that prospective employers, clients, contacts, (lovers!) will see so its vitally important that you really are giving the right impression. I've been doing  lot of work over the past few weeks photographing headshots for individuals and corporations to create these first impressions. These will be used for company websites, for LinkedIn profiles, for resumes and potentially dozens of other purposes.

Shooting a book launch

I was delighted to be hired as photographer for the book 'The World We See' recently. A collection of lessons from some of Australia's foremost leaders. It was a fascinating evening with some great presenters.. and some very challenging lighting conditions for photography. The results were well received however, here are a few examples;

Award Win!

I am delighted to have won the latest OpenImage Challenge. The brief was 'occupations' - as the name suggest we were to submit our best photos of people at their work. Amongst some very stiff competition I am very proud that this photo taken of my friend Shelby  at her dental practice was declared the winner.

Open Wide

Some of the other photos I took as part of this challenge are below. Many thanks to all of those that helped me with this for your time, patience and modelling skills!
